We hire scaffolding out every day, so we know which gear lasts. The same tube, planks, couplers and fittings we run on our own jobs are available to buy, whether you are a builder kitting out a crew or a contractor topping up what you already own.
Scaffold tube and poles
Galvanised scaffold tube in the lengths builders actually use, including 6.5 metre. Straight, true and ready to work with rather than bent stock that fights you on site.
Couplers, joiners and clips
Single and double couplers, swivel and half swivel couplers, girder couplers, wrapover singles, internal and external joiners, and plank retaining clips. The fittings that go missing first and hold a job up when they do.
Scaffold planks
LVL planks in 3 metre lengths, built for repeat site use. Planks take the most abuse of anything in a scaffold kit, so it is worth buying decent ones.
New and second hand
New gear is available across the range, and we sell ex-hire equipment when we cycle stock through the yard. Second hand tube and fittings come at a lower price and are checked before they leave us.
Buying or hiring
Buying makes sense when you use the same gear on job after job and have somewhere to store it. Hiring makes more sense for a one-off, for a job that needs more than you own, or when you would rather someone else erected it and took it away afterwards.
We do both, so we have no reason to push you one way. If you are unsure, tell us what the work looks like and we will give you a straight answer, including when the honest answer is that you should hire it instead.
Delivery and pick up
Pick up from our yard at 6 Maunsell Street, Woolston, or we can arrange freight. Christchurch and Canterbury orders are straightforward, and we send gear to the rest of the South Island and the North Island as well.
